The Jacksonville shooting suspect was entangled in a long-running feud with his mother — which revolved around his obsession with video games and refusal to go to school or bathe, according to court papers.
“His hair would very often go unwashed for days,” David Katz’ mom, Elizabeth, wrote in a divorce filing from 2007.
“When I took his gaming equipment controllers away so he couldn’t play at 3 or 4 in the morning, I’d get up and find that he was just walking around the house in circles,” she said.
David, 24, was known to argue with his mother repeatedly over the use of the family television when he was a kid, among a slew of other things, according to the divorce papers, which were obtained by the Associated Press. Read More
